That is the title of the song that has been running through my head nonstop for almost 24 hours (yes, it is from
Little Shop)! We open in two weeks and I think we are in a pretty good place right now. We have the skeletal set up (i.e. the turntable works, the fire escape is usable and the students are able to get a feel for the set); Audrey II is really no more complete than she was a week ago (much more concerned with getting the set up this week). Audrey II has a functional deadline of Wednesday. Because Wednesday is the day we are supposed to eat people all night long. We have dedicated an entire night to the eating of all the cast members and the scenes that go with the feasts! Here are some more pics:

This is a skeletal version of the first puppet for Audrey II. The cashew can is too small - I think it is being replaced with a coffee can. And, of course, the plant still needs to be painted and all that. But this is the basic plant.

A mind of its own . . . but not really!

The inside of the shop (again pretty skeletal)

The band - they are going to be built into the set. So, it will look like they are in the building next door to the flower shop.

The fire escape. I had to paint the underside of that. Painting above you head sucks hard core!

I was in the theatre yesterday pre-rehearsal setting up prop tables... sometimes you just have to do it yourself!
I love all the pics. Thanks for sharing all this to those of us so far away.
