"My Summer Vacation"

Remember that essay you always had to write at the beginning of the school year? Well, I go back to Rhode Island on Tuesday. I leave Thursday for a nice long weekend to FINALLY meet my nephew. Here's his most recent pics (right around four months):

I am being brave and attempting to drive to New York all by myself. Most of you reading this know I have a major fear of driving more than two hours by myself because I always get so drowsy in the car and don't want to get stranded. I am going to *try* and conquer the fear.

Then school begins on the 26th. I am ready. I am in charge of the first play which is the Freshmen show. It is a one act that I have to mount in exactly three weeks. But, I have enjoyed it the last few years.

SO. what I did this summer. Of course I went to Argentina which you have already read about or can read about in past posts. I went to Breckenridge with my parents to visit my bro and sister-in-law (again see previous posts). Both were a blast. Aside from that I have:
(1) Spent some seriously good quality time with my nonni.
(2) Read multiple novels. I highly recommend The Book Thief to everyone - I even managed to get my mom to read it. To all my single friends out there (none of whom I think read this blog) How to be Single (a novel, not a self help book) was really good and soooo easy to relate to.
(3) Had a shopping day with my mom last week at the outlet mall and we hit the JACKPOT.
(4) Went out to lunch/dinner with multiple friends including a couple of friends I hadn't seen in like ten years or more (Bridget, Amy S.)
(5) Took a ten day voice class (see previous posts) and made some GREAT new friends (I should tell them about this blog!!!) - and found out Amy moved from Switzerland to the exact little town I was in in Virginia taking my class. What are the odds???!!!!
(6) Spent quality time with both of my parents. My dad and I even went out to breakfast this morning at 7am!!! I know why he was awake, but why was I??? Bad case of insomnia!
(7) Sandra reintroduced me to scrapbooking - the modern way. Wow! Has scrapbooking gotten elaborate since I last did it!!
(8) Utilized my health insurance more in Utah than I have in years :-( Boo!!!
(9) Finished up a quilt with my mom's help (thanks mom!)
(10) Finished all of my Christmas shopping (thanks Argentina!)

All right - I'm sure I'm missing some things. But, that gives you an idea. And alas, it is time for the fun to come to an end. But, finally, this week I actually started to feel ready to go back. It's nice to look forward to the chaos. Though as always I will be sad to leave everyone here. Thanks for another amazing summer everyone!!

Sounds like a very full summer! My phone died unexpectedly and all my contacts were lost so you have to call me next, because I
] can't call you.

What one act is it? And what other show(s) are you directing this year? I am gearing up for Alice in Wonderland!
