So, I spent the weekend learning how to (and actually doing), shrink wrapping all my old windows that are extremely drafty. I am hoping to bring my heating bill costs down as they were astronomical last year (and I spend a lot of the winter not at home too!). I think this will help a lot. And it only cost a total of $20 to do all of my windows. I am a fresh air person, so there are two I'm not shrink wrapping until the day before I leave, and then I will probably undo the process when I get home. Still worth it. The best part of shrink wrapping windows is the blow drying part when the plastic actually shrinks. It's sort of like vacuuming - very relaxing.
I met with my set designer for Little Shop of Horrors this weekend and already I am feeling better because we were feeding each other ideas. I couple of things I would have never thought of came from this meeting and expanded my ideas. And this is why directing is not so scary when you have a creative team!
I leave for Maryland tomorrow to visit "Auntie," Al, and the kids. Plenty of pictures to come for sure! And when I get back I am pretty much wall-to-wall with solid activity until I leave for Salt Lake City. Chorus performs that week - and it is one rehearsal/performance after another. So, I'll be ready for a nice little break :-)
In the event that I don't post again before Thanksgiving, Happy Thanksgiving to all!! There is much to be thankful for (ahhh - my blog topic sometime in the next few days)!
