Happy Birthday

While one of my dear friends is going to die momentarily from bone cancer, I wanted to give another shout out to a cancer ass-whooper. Nine years ago, Sandra had her bone marrow transplant and defeated cancer! For those of you who don't know, a bone marrow transplant involves first killing all the cancer cells and therefore all white and red blood cells in the person's body before injecting the new marrow. Then the new marrow is hopefully accepted by the body, the cancer is gone, and the new marrow begins generating new healthy cells that are cancer free. So, essentially the person is killed and "reborn." It was no easy feat to kick cancer's ass, and it took years. I am proud and honored to be able to say "Happy Birthday" to her twice a year. So, Sandra, enjoy this last single digit year . . . cuz from now on you are in the double digits!!! :-)

Thanks, Doll Face! I really appreciate you being so wonderful. You are the only person who remembered me on the very day. Yea, I still have yet to hear from any of the fam. I truly appreciate the recognition on one of the most important days in my life. Love Ya!
