Audrey II

Okay, since this is pretty much the only thing going on in my life, and it is actually pretty cool (well, I think so), I'll keep going with the updates. We rented Audrey II (The huge man-eating puppet plant) and decide we hated it. So, we (meaning not me but my amazing tech crew and set designer) are creating Audrey II. Today was DAY 1. Here are the pics:

The very beginning of the frame - really he is probably about 6 hours into it :-)

Loading me into it several hours later - I really turned out to be too small to model it, but it was fun to try! Too small to try things - the story of my life really! Grrr . . .

The guys are serious, but I'm having fun!

This is where we stopped for the day. So right now he has more than a jaw. His upper lips articulate, and his jaw does more than open and close. It moves in circles. It is really cool. I'm probably going to have to video tape the way it moves for the puppeteer who might come to work with us. If I do, I'll post it.

Oh definitely do! And do you guys record your shows? I would love to see a copy sometime if you do (and would be willing to share a copy of my production to, say a theatre swap?!).
