The Home Stretch!

Well, I am approaching the last days of official vacation. I go back to Rhode Island on Wednesday. And, I feel refreshed and ready. It is always sad to leave all the people I care about here. I guess I've spent the last six weeks in the right place, eh? :-)

Anyway, Snowbird wrapped up well. I skiied four times. Each time I was able to ski longer and get less tired. And Jenna, you are right, taking "that one last run" is what gets people hurt. So, I listened to my knees and stopped as soon as I began to feel them just a little. I am happy to report, the last day I skiied I didn't ever feel them. Everyone else just got tired - so I went in with them! Yay!!! A seriously good time was had by all.

I got good at jamming the air hockey machine in the arcade. So, we got free game after free game of air hockey. So, before we knew it, our arms hurt too :-) Lol!!! We swam in the outdoor pool on the roof. It is spectacular. Surrounded by mountains in a nice warm pool (and a huge hot tub right next to it). It is a weird sensation to swim outside in warm water when it is snowing. And of course, getting out sucks - but it is all worth it in the end! We had a mixture of friends come up throughout the week and spend time up there (I went in and out of getting sleep in a bed and then having to sleep on a couch). And I read a couple of novels. Oh - and spent many hours working on Italian. And rewatched the last three episodes of LOST from last season to refresh my mind for the SEASON PREMIERE this Wednesday!

And so, I have to say I feel like I accomplished a lot these last six weeks while really relaxing and enjoying myself. I will go back on Wednesday and then school still doesn't start for another week. But, I have to go stand in line at the DMV and renew my license (thank god, I noticed a couple of weeks ago it is about to expire) as soon as I get back. And of course, I am being forced to party my first weekend back because a new decade is about to begin. The next big number will be 40 and well, I'm definitely not ready for that one yet!!!
