Hope for my ability to draw!

As most of you know, if you have been in any of my various apartments through the years (or stepped into my grandfather's apartment for that matter), my grandfather is an amazing artist. He draws, he paints, he carves wood - hell, he carves apples and then they dry into cool faces. He's pretty amazing. Well, it turns out he was reading my blog. He got excited when he realized that I using the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain because it turns out he used the first edition of that book many, many years ago when he was learning to draw. We had a good laugh as we looked through the book and I showed him which exercises I had completed (not very many). He looked to try and find his exercises, but he couldn't. So, tomorrow night when he comes over (my last evening in good ol' SLC for a while), I will show him my drawings and let him laugh. And, I will hope to be as good an artist as him someday!
